A community service organization with several programs that address special needs in the community.

One program places adaptive devices like walkers and wheelchairs on
short-term loan. Another delivers midday meals to the homebound Monday
through Friday at a cost of $5.50 per meal. The club also acts as the
charter organization for Boy Scout Troop 633 and Cub Pack 633 and helps
in the Adopt-a-Highway program.

The club meets twice a month. Fundraising events include participation
in Trash 'n' Treasure, Casino Corral, and selling refreshments at
Fourth of July and other community festivities.

Rancho Murieta children between the ages of 8 and 17 again have the opportunity to take a free plane ride and join the ranks of the Young Eagles during the airport's monthly open house for the public. A free pancake breakfast will be served by the Flying Vikings Club and vintage aircraft will be on display.

The Rancho Murieta Aviators group hosts Young Eagles events several times during the year, offering free flights on planes and helicopters to local youth on a first-come, first-served basis. The Young Eagles program was founded in 1992 by the Experimental Aircraft Association to provide young people with an introduction to flying. Parental application and permission forms are provided at the event.

The Community Services District holds the last in a series of workshops on recycled water feasibility at the CSD Building. The CSD currently provides recycled water for golf course irrigation. The feasibility study looks at the potential to use recycled wastewater for landscape irrigation as the community grows. The agenda and presentation are available here.
