The RMYEA and the Optimist Club are presenting the community's first haunted house event Halloween night. A mild
version of the tour is scheduled from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for children up to 9 years old. A second, scarier session for kids 10 and above runs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The house is located at 7500 Verona Drive, off Murieta South Parkway.  A $5 donation per child is requested. A water conservation fair will be held at the Rancho Murieta Association Building to provide the community with information about ways to conserve water by using indigenous trees and plant in landscapes and water-saving irrigation systems. The fair is being put on by Steve Voss, a member of Boy Scout Troop 633, as his Eagle Scout project.

Bereavement Support Group, sponsored by Hospice of Amador, provides a safe, confidential place for community members who have sustained a loss through death to share their grief. The group is facilitated by Marilyn Swabe and bereavement counselor Kathie Praetorius.  Location: RMA Building.

Our members are researching nearly 200 surnames in many, many states and countries. Sloughhouse AGS is a member of the Genealogical and Historical Council of the Sacramento Valley.
