First of all, my heartfelt condolences to all the friends and family of those injured and the loss of one of the victims of the horrible accident on Wednesday.

Second, here are some of my observations on what I heard and saw during this horrible time.

While observing all the confusion on the highway with Caltrans trying to re-route the traffic, folks were not observing the traffic ahead of them. They constantly BLOCKED the intersection on the North side at the signals. I was taught that when you see traffic stopped on the other side of the intersection, regardless of what the light says, you stop at the light thus not blocking any intersection!!!!  I was waiting for another accident to happen!!!!  Glad to report, none occurred!!!!!  Folks were coming across in golf carts as well as cars on RED LIGHTS!!!!!

Next, the gate officers were totally inundated with phone calls and questions about, what happened, how do I get to Plymouth, Ione or where ever, and some not so nice comments about how they were put out due to this accident!!!!  Folks, the gates officers are not in contact with Caltrans or CHP and are doing their job taking care of Rancho Murieta. Please show some consideration to them, they did not cause the problem!!!!

Last, I want to THANK all of our Security and staff in our community for all their help. While we may complain about what they don't/can't do, we never give them "kudo's" for what they do in times like these.

Thanks guys and gals...job well done!!!!!!!
