Living in Murieta, we are so fortunate to have some really good, high-quality preschools to choose from.  I wanted to share my thoughts on a couple, one of which you may not know about...  My first-born, Cate, attended The Ranch for 2 1/2 years and we absolutely LOVED it.  This program has been around for several years and I'm sure most of you, if you are in the market for a preschool, have heard about it.  Highly recommend.

The second school we have come to know over the last year is The Learning Cottage Preschool.  I cannot recommend this program highly enough. My son, Clyde, attended the inaugural year for the Learning Cottage last year as his first experience with school. Every day he would come home so excited about what he did/learned in school for that day. As soon as I walked in to pick him up, he would run to his cubby bursting at the seams he was so excited. He will be attending this next year for another year in pre-school as he was pretty young starting out and won't be 4 for another couple of months. As a former teacher myself, I was infinitely impressed with the curriculum and teaching staff. If anyone has any questions, don't hesitate to call me at 916-799-8131

The Ranch is excellent!

I'm so happy we have good choices for our littlest students. Kimberly is right - The Ranch Preschool is fantastic. Our son was lucky enough to go for Kinder prep and we've been huge fans ever since. If you aren't familiar with the location - The Ranch Preschool is in the heart of Van Vleck ranch. It's absolutely gorgeous and the kids take walks to see the resident barn owl and swing next to the horses grazing in the pasture. The environment is perfect but what makes The Ranch Preschool exceptional are the teachers and curriculum. Owner Anne Spencer is a gifted teacher and master curriculum creater. I don't think I've ever seen a worksheet at The Ranch. That means- rather than coloring the letter A and drawings of apples, students are conducting apple taste tests, examining apple trees, roots and seeds, singing songs with the letter A..  Every day at The Ranch Preschool is a rich learning experience that has the kiddos excited to learn. They love it!

Finally, the teachers at The Ranch are amazing. Your child is welcomed to school each day with eye contact, a big smile and a "welcome to school". I've seen it over and over and the students feel so important and cared for.. it's lovely. It also absolutely reduces anxiety and allows them to learn at full brain power.  The teachers at The Ranch are some of the best I've seen for any age group. Our family is enormously grateful to Anne Spencer, Kathy Richardson, Kelly Akin and Carol Miler for inspiring our son to be a life long learner.

I just saw The Ranch Preschool banner on Jackson Hwy and know they haven't started their fall session yet.  Here's their number  916-354-0369.

I'm happy to tell you more about my experience too! You can contact me at nellie@hipentertainment.com

Happy New School Year!

Ranch Preschool Worth Every Penny

Our 4th grader has wonderful memories of the Ranch Preschool.  I just asked her what were the important things she learned at the Ranch - she said manners, not to say bad words and how to read.

We still see the teachers around town who stop and say hello and give her hugs!  It was a wonderful learning environment of organization and calmness, but incorporated playtime and how to share and be a friend.  We spend time and money on things that are not part of an investment (out to dinner, movies, wine, junk food!) - this is an investment in your child's future with a huge return.
