Children at play signs
We are looking for "Slow Children at Play signs" for our street. I have called a few sports stores and am not having any luck. I have seen them around the community...any ideas where to find one? The weather is getting nicer and unfortunately we still have a lot of fast drivers on our street.
Thank you!

Julie, there are several types of this sign in plastic or metal on Amazon.com with an average shipping cost of $6 - $8. You can also check out this website: http://www.mysafetysign.com/Safety-Signs/Child-Safety-Signs.aspx $4.99 shipping or FREE after $25 purchase. You could also Google and find more than you ever could imagine. Good luck with your hunt.
Whatever happened to playing in the backyard or the park? And, weren't we taught not to play in the street. Our parents taught us that the street was dangerous and we had to watch for the traffic, not the other way around. I wonder why the younger generations think they are entitled to use the street as their playground.
Candice, why would you "assume" that children would be playing in the street simply because a Mom wants to post "Slow -- Children at Play" signs? The kids may be playing in their very own front yards. A ball suddenly bounces out into the street and a child caught up in play runs after it. Life happens.
Mom wants to alert the drivers that there are kids nearby and to proceed with caution. That's called foresight. Kudos, Mom!
I find this subject amuzing to say the least. Some of the same people wiho put the signs on South Parkway race down the street speeding on their way to work. Like it or not signs will not keep residents from exeeding the 25 mph speed limit. So like I said, very amuzing indeed.
How about some signs for the kids that say "Danger, Cars in Street".
We all know there are kids. Even those that drive too fast know. It's like the signs on the highway that say please don't drink and drive. Because that will be what stops someone from doing that.
Those signs won't work for my kids.
Does any one know where I can get some "Extremely Intelligent Children at Play" signs?

This link will take you to what you're looking for. the little green plastic child with orange flag. http://www.amazon.com/KidAlert-V-W-S-Visual-Warning-Signal/dp/B001EBIGUA/ref=pd_sim_t_5
I'm wondering if anyone knows where we can find a sign "adults at play, teens please slow down and turn down the loud music"?
Bill, we could put this sign at both gates.

Did you try Wal-Mart or Toys R Us?
Maybe you can buy them on-line...though an awkward size, shipping might make them cost-prohibitive.
