Rep Bera

What is Rep Bera hiding?

I have sent email, FAX's and phone calls asking two simple questions. So far neither Rep Bera or his office has responded.  Makes one wonder why!

My questions are simple: The first one is what is the average salary of his office staff. That would be easy for a normal businessman to determine but maybe not so easy for a Congressman.  The second is how many of his staff, which the the local office confirms are on ObamaCare, are getting Taxpayer subsidies to pay for their ObamaCare?

Rep Bera brags in his recent TV ads how he is frugal with the Taxpayer's money so why won't he answer those simple questions. I can only assume that his staff members earn too much to normally receive Taxpayer subsidies but, due to the largess of Congress, Taxpayers are helping them pay for their ObamaCare coverage.

Why can't the average Taxpayer get the same “goodies” that Congress give themselves? Another way to say that is why doesn't Congress, both sides of the aisle, obey the laws that they pass. Maybe that would be a better bill for Rep Bera, if he is reelected, to propose.

Don't Hold Your Breath

David,

I have sent 4 emails to Mr. Bera who says he "welcomes" emails, and have never received a response to any of the them.  They were with regards to hospital care, "in God we Trust", Middle East and his constant statements and pictures as an "active physician".  Don't hold your breath to hear from him.  He's probably too busy holding his own breath for re-election!

We are fortunate to have Ami Bera as our Congressman

For the first time in over 15 years in this district, I feel that we have a congressman who works hard to represent many different  viewpoints. Ami Bera is a moderate to conservative Democrat who is willing to work with constituents and colleagues who hold a wide variety of opinion. I fully support Congressman Bera and will soon have his sign on my front lawn.

I was shocked and saddened to see the vicious anti Bera TV commercials.  Those commercials apparently paid for by Carl Rove,Koch brothers Citizens United and unidentified big business money are in my opinion disgusting and mostly untrue.

Those adds never mention Doug Ose, but it is clear that Mr Ose has accepted their support and all the baggage that they contain. So, If some of you want to send Doug Ose to congress so he can do the bidding of Carl Rove, then I am sure you will vote for him. I will not.  I hope you join me supporting Ami Bera, a true representative for all of Rancho Murieta.

Rep Bera

Mr Voss,

Congratulations on getting a response from Rep Bera!

Maybe I need to explain to him and his office how to determine the average salary of his staff.

1. You look up your annual payroll. Write that number down.

2. You get the number of staff members and put that number under the payroll number.

3. You divide the payroll number (the one on top) by the number of staff (the number on the bottom.) You can use either long division or a calculator. The result is the average salary of your staff.

Then you provide that number to me along with a statement of how many of your staffers are getting Taxpayer assistance to pay for their ObamaCare.

The end result is whether or not you are truthful with the those of us who will cast our votes in November.

Rep Bera

Dear Mr Duncan,

I am glad that you support Rep Bera for relection.

My main concern with Rep Bera is, unlike the previous Rep, that he will not respond to questions.

A simple request (made multiple times!) about how many of his staff are receiving Taxpayer assistance for their ObamaCare has been unanswered for nearly 3 months!  Why?  Is he afraid of a possible voter backlash if he has to admit that while a Taxpayer with the same earnings does not get Taxpayer assistance his staff is getting a "free ride?"

Once I have that information then I will decide who I think will best represent the interests and concerns of me and my fellow Taxpayers.

PS:  Since you appear to be an avid supporter of Rep Bera perhaps he would respond to a request from you to provide the ObamaCare Taxpayer assistance information that he will not provide to me.

PSS: I am a registered Democrat Taxpayer who wants to know how my taxes are being spent.

Thank you

Wasted Tax Dollars

David, your tax dollars are being wasted, stolen, redistributed to democratic politicians, their campaign supporters and their "base", just like mine. Neither of us will end up any better off, regardless of who wins in November. Ose is just another liberal in disguise and has a long and disastrous anti-conservative / irresponsible voting record to prove it. Democrats will get their "WIN" either way.

""Breitbart News noted in a recent article that Bera succeeded in being ranked the fourth worst congressman by the conservative Club for Growth, which described Ose as a pro-tax Democrat who “supported amnesty for illegal aliens, supported expanding federal gun control laws, and was an ardent supporter of abortion rights.”

Do you really relish more of the same incompetence and lack of experienced leadership we've suffered through these past 6+ years? Check Bera's website. It contains no accomplishments, only well-deserved attacks on Ose and his flip flopping etc... I vote "none of the above" in this race. Nothing more need be said. Enjoy your "WIN".

P.S. Don't feel too bad about not hearing back from Bera. I've not gotten any type of response, other than a standard "form" type response from the numerous thieving, coniving criminal "public servants" I've written to during this "most responsive" and  "most transparent" administration.

Very fortunate to be represented by Congressman Bera

Bill -

I agree with you 100%.  I ignore all the negative Rove ads and ask this simple question.  Do I feel more comfortable being represented by a pediatrician from a teaching hospital - or a "developer" who TRIPLED his personal net worth DURING SIX YEARS he formerly served in Congress.  In six years, Ose miraculously grew his personal wealth to something between $51-$175 million while he was working for us.  Yeah, right.  Maybe David Field can contact Ose's campaign office and get some straight answers on the exact number and how it was "achieved".  Seems a little more relevant than the salaries of low-wage office staff.

Easy choice - Ami Bera.

Rep Bera

Dear Ms Walker,

Wow!!  All I wanted to know was how many of Rep Bera's staff were getting Taxpayer assistance to pay for their ObamaCare.

That seems to have grown into attacks on Ose and Carl Rove.  Why??

You wnat me to focus on something other than his "low wage" staff.  Ok lets start with.

Bara's views on the Southern Border not being secure.

His views on allowing illegal immigrants to stay in America

His views on giving away Taxpayer dollars to individuals that make more money sitting on their butts that actually working

His view on a "living wage."  Seems to me since he was once a small businessman he would understand the effects of raising service costs.

His views on the continually growing American debt.

His views on the 1st Amendement on freedom of religion

His view on 2nd Amendment Gun Ownership rights.

Are those better to focus on than his staff???  You know, yes they are!

I welcome any reasoned response to Rep Bera's views.

PS  I must admit I am becoming more of a Survialist than a Democrat.

The Question of Ose's Wealth

I believe he started with $13 million and ended up with $170+ million. I doubt his fortune being made had anything to do wth his being elected to office, most likely it was because he was a very succesful  real estate developer during the incredible housing boom of that time period. The ones who need to be thorughly questioned are the "long term" serving politicians who mde a hundred, or so, million dollars while in office fulltime. Question them, or their unaccomplished relatives and family memberswho have directly benefitted from their relationship to those politicians, like Reid's lobbyist sons, the Clintons, Feinsteins husband's companies, or Pelosi's close family members. Ose wasn't there long enough to be "worth" much to the party leaders.

I'm sure Bera is an excellent physician and medical school admissions administrator. I'm also certin that does not prepare him , or count as experience for a national political office. The two have nothing to do with each other, anymore than being a community organizer was qualification for a presidential candidate. Again, either way this November, those supporters of Bera's party and policies will get a "WIN", the rest of us Californians, and the nation lose.

Rep Bera

Dear Ms Walker,

Since you referred to Rep Bera's staff as making a "low wage" you apparently know how much they earn.

Since that is one-half of the information that I have repeatedly requested would you please provide that number.

Thank you for your response.

Giving up

I normally get into the mix with this political stuff, however, some of America is getting what they want as proven by the last two national elections and the last California election. Once again we are most likely going to get Jerry Brown along with six other dems for the higher California offices!

The problem is that people bellieve the lies and distortions from both sides and don't think for themselves. The California budget is not balanced because we have a couple hundred billion dollars of unfunded government pensions here. Who is going to pay for that? If any of you folks out there can tell me I would appreciate it.

And let's not forget the two hundred trillion dollars of unfunded federal government pensions. Seventeen trillion dollar deficit say yee? Hogwash! Try over two hundred trillion nationally! So let's just keeping voting in the spenders and give away artists. They've done a great job of buying votes!

America has problems that many people are not willing to tackle. Economics is the real problem. The truth is we are bankrupt.

Rep Bera

John,

You are so right.  You may have noticed the replies I got from two Bera supporters.

Instead of addressing my question of why I can't get an answer from Bera their only response was to blame it on Carl Rove and Doug Ose.

I don't see how blaming Rove helps me get a response from Bera but their response seemed, at least to me, to just be a knee jerk reaction that has them parroting the Democrat mantra.  I guess that they forgot to blame Bush because he supposedly is the root cause of all of America's problems.

Burying ones head in the sand does not address the serious problems that America has now and will face.

Maybe the best thing to do is, since I am unable to move away from CA at this time, is to take some survival training and practice with my crossbow.  Like I said, since I tend to think for myself instead of blindly following either party's marching orders, maybe the best thing to do is to become a Survivalist and let the politicans go to h&**, but then I think about my children and grand-children.

What we need is a "None of the above" choice in our elections.

Off my soapbox and back to work.

California voters are lazy

California voters passed the bullet train. Horrible mess. Not going away anytime soon.

Same voters apparently vote for state legislature.

Hmmm.

ObamaCare Rates for 2015

The Bee on 10/9/14 buried an article stating that the the new ObamaCare costs would not be published until the week after the mid-term elections.

That sounds as if the Obama Administration is afraid of the election results if, as expected, there is about a 10-15% increase in ObamaCare premiums.

Gee, do you think that there is some political motive here?

Rep Bera's Lack of Response

Dear Ms Walker,

I belive it was the Bee that said that Rep Bera's wealth increased by over $2 Million during his two years in office.

So if you want to call the "kettle" (Ose) black don't forget to also call the "pot" (Bera) black!

Since I have not received a response from you or Rep Bera regarding staff income nor of any of the several other Rep Bera's views that I listed in a previous post, I will vote for the "lesser of two evils" and it will not be Bera.

Thank you for helping me make up my mind.

Regards

Bera or Pelosi

For all you Bera lawn sign holders !  Your TV ads bashing the republican candidate for being successful as a business man and actually running a private business ( not Government ) and paying into your freeloader system somehow you view as negative?  I dont know about you but i send my children to school to give them the best education to succeed and prosper. Why would we want a candidate to represent us and our views that do not show  the same success we all try and achieve?  Why is wealth Bad?

Bera had his last campaign financed by Pelosi, and is know by fellow representatives as Pelosi's PUPPET. This is the reason that since Bera was elected , he has  voted against all six proposed budgets presented in 2014?  SAME as Pelosi and Reid!

Have you ever checked Pelosi or Reids net worth.  I suggest they stop asking to spend my money and just write their own check .

Imagine That.

Jeff, you're right

Could not agree with you more!

This election could not be more critical. Do we want an America (land of the free and home of the brave) like it used to be or an America, (land of the free stuff)?

Let's not forget that government does not create income. All it does is confiscate money from the producers. If some of you want to pay more in taxes for this nonsense, write a check. Feel free to do so.

I would prefer the America where producers are rewarded for their hard work. Not stolen from by the government to redistribute (give away).

Bera's Stand on Giving "Green Cards" to Illegal Aliens

Dear Anyone,

Does anyone know what Bera's stand is on giving "Green Cards" to the millions of illegal aliens now present within America.

Bera is really following Obama's pledge that his administration would be the “most transparent” administration ever! Well, we have found out how “transparent” Obama has been on a multitude of issues. As I said, Bera is following the guidelines because he NEVER responds to questions such as his stand on ILLEGAL ALIENS (capitals on purpose) or many other issues except he wants companies and the wealthy to pay their “fair share” whatever that means.

Since Bera is a Socialist/Democrat one can only assume that he means give ALL of your money/profits to the government since they know how to spend it better that you do. Of course, as one of the very wealthy politically correct "ruling class" he will be exempt!
