Kiwanis sponsors scholarship info night
Learn how to pursue and secure college scholarships!
The Kiwanis Club of Rancho Murieta is sponsoring its second annual scholarship information night, scheduled for 7:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 23,2012 in the Cosumnes River Elementary School Multi-purpose room.
The program is designed to provide students preparing or already attending college, and their parents, with information about applying for educational scholarships, and how to overcome hurdles in the process.
The night will include information about several local scholarship opportunities, including the Kiwanis scholarships, Elk Grove Community Foundation scholarships, as well as many others offered by such groups as the Little League, River Valley Garden Club, ETC, and similar groups.
Counselors from Pleasant Grove High School and parents who have successfully navigated the scholarship application process will share information about how to successfully locate and apply for available scholarships.
Parents and existing college and college-bound students from throughout the greater Rancho Murieta, Sloughhouse and Wilton community are encouraged to attend.
Refreshments will be served.
