ALAMEIDA - MILOS NUPTIALS: Rebecca Alameida, daughter of Ed and Marybeth Alameida and Granddaughter of Gib and Helen Zimmerman was joined in Holy Matrimony on Saturday afternoon, June 26, here at St. Vincent De Paul Church to Isaac Milos, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Milos of Bremerton, Washington. They were joined by family and friends as they spoke their vows before God in a beautiful ceremony.
BAPTIZED INTO OUR PARISH FAMILY: We welcomed Christina Clara Merino, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Merino, and the granddaughter of Deacon and Mrs. Dennis Merino into our Parish family during the 9am Mass on Sunday, June 27. As a community of Faith, we will continue to support Christina Clara and her family as she grows in God’s love.
ANYONE PLANNING TO SCHEDULE AN EVENT... will need to fill out an EVENT SET-UP FORM for any activity that is planned to be held at the church. This is necessary to prevent scheduling conflicts and to make sure that everything needed is arranged so that the event is successful. Please remember this is mandatory when scheduling any events in the church facilities. The form may be obtained by calling Kathleen in the office at 354-2402.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO... "Sing to the Lord a new song!" There is still time to join the Saturday Summer Choir. Come to the practice on Wednesday evening, July 7, at 6:30pm at the church. SIGN UP NOW FOR VBS!: All children from Pre-school through 6th grade are invited to take a journey back to ancient Egypt...without leaving the neighborhood. The dates are July 26-30, Monday through Friday, from 8:45am to 12pm. The location is the Rancho Murieta Community Church directly across the street from SVDP. To sign up, go to www.rmchurch.org, click on main site, click on “VBS 2010”, click on “click here to register,” click on “participant registration” on the left hand side and follow the prompts. There is no charge to attend VBS, all we ask is that you bring your kids and all their friends and let us teach them about God.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: It takes a lot of volunteers to make this program a success. Many positions are available. This is a great way to serve the Lord, while serving the children of our community! Please check the website for a complete list of job descriptions, time commitments, and age requirements.
THE CHILDERN NEED YOUR HELP, PLEASE MAKE A DONATION FOR VBS: A few items are still needed to bring Egypt to Rancho Murieta. The items range from props, set materials, craft items, food items, and cash. There is a VBS Needs Pyramid display in Anderson Hall. Please take a “need brick” off of the pyramid of the need you would like to fill, and sign your name on the sign up sheet posted. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL’S ANNUAL SUMMER PICNIC... is just around the corner. We hope you are planning to attend the Parish Picnic on Saturday, August 14 from 4:30 - ?. You won’t want to miss it. Fun for all ages begins at 4:30pm including, water slide, slip n slide, face painting, beach volleyball, row boat races, etc. BBQ dinner will be served at 6:30pm. There will be a sign-up sheet outside the church before and after both Masses beginning July 10. Please sign up so that we have an accurate count for participation and food ordering.
