BRIDGE TAKES SHAPE

[Oct. 10] The pedestrian bridge continues to rise on the banks of the Cosumnes. This view taken Tuesday from the south abutment shows a towering concrete support on the north side still clad in wood forms and, in the foreground, the foundation for another support. The prefabricated bridge superstructure of wood trusses is being delivered to the construction site and will be assembled over the next month. The $1.75 million bridge is being built with developer money to satisfy a county planning requirement for a river crossing to connect North and South.
