Easter

[April 7] Walking with parents Kristi and Arnold Carvajal, Marissa, who's about to turn 1, captured the spirit of Saturday's Easter Egg Hunt in her bunny jacket. (That's Marissa and Mom at right.) Every year there are more children, more activities and more families at the Stonehouse Park event. Hundreds attended Saturday, and children enjoyed bounce houses, a train ride, cookie decorating, face painting and bubble-blowing in addition to hunting for thousands of candy-stuffed eggs. A new dimension was added with the participation of the Sheriff's Department and Volunteers in Partnership with the Sheriff. Fingerprinting was provided, and children were introduced to a bomb squad robot. The Murieta Activities Club event was the work of many community organizations and volunteers, and raffles and a bake sale were held to raise money for future activities. Dawny Corsaut and Judy Musgrove coordinated the event.

Unhappy

"It's just like the Santa thing," said Amy Holliday about 18-month-old daughter Kate's less-than-happy photo moment with the Easter Bunny.

Bunny

Mattie Shaw, 2, reacted to the novel sensation of touching the rabbits in the petting zoo, new this year.

Bunny

Tessa Faeth, 4, enjoyed her time with the rabbits. There was also a black lamb for the children to pet.

Triplets

The 21/2-year-old Albiano triplets --  Isabella, Samantha and Sophia -- tackled egg hunting as a team.

Eggs

John Fong helped his 2-year-old daughter, Ryley, gather eggs.

Eggs

Ever try taking candy from a baby? There's no way 8-month-old Zoe Malena will part with her Easter eggs, say her parents, Jennifer and Mike Malena.
