| 'LOVE
LETTERS'

(July
18)
Several hundred residents and guests gave a standing
ovation to the husband and wife team of Ellen Crawford and
Mike Genovese Saturday night at Lake Clementia Amphitheater
for their performance of the Tony award-winning play “Love
Letters.” Many were moved to tears by the story of a
couple whose letters to each other told of their lives and
what they meant to each other. Afterwards, the actors, well-known
for their continuing roles on the TV drama “ER,”
graciously signed programs and glossy photos, and posed for
pictures with fans like Patty Park, a guest from Granite Bay.
At intermission, Michael Jones, below, was honored for his
work with Entertainment, Theatre and Culture for Rancho Murieta,
the group that offered “Love Letters” as part
of the entertainment programs it has presented at the amphitheater
for the last three years. Jones, the president of Etc., is
leaving the community to take a new job in Washington state.
Etc. co-founders Erin Reed and Steve Hart thanked Jones for
his role in making Etc. possible. Etc. member Peggie Miller
will be the group’s interim president until an election
is held in January.
