THREE
DOG NIGHT

(September
4)
Three Dog Night delighted the largest audience ever at Lake
Clementia Amphitheater Saturday night as the headliner act
of the current Entertainment, Theatre and Culture season.
Original members Danny Hutton, left, and Cory Wells, right,
led the band's performance. From 1969 through 1974, no other
group had more top 10 hits, and many of them were reprised
at the concert: “Easy to be Hard,” “An
Old Fashioned Love Song,” “Never Been to Spain,”
“Liar,” and “Shambala” were only
some of the songs in the 90-minute set that had the crowd
up and dancing and begging for more. The climax of the concert
was a heartfelt “Joy to the World” conclusion
that brought everyone to their feet as they sang along.
