Kiwanis 2007 Fishing Day

Alexa Buckman

[March 31] The sixth annual Kiwanis Kids Fishing Day attracted 150 area children plus parents, grandparents and siblings to Lake Clementia Saturday. The event was co-sponsored by the Rancho Murieta Fishing Club and featured lessons on water quality, fishing ethics and technique from California Department of Fish and Game personnel. About 500 trout were brought in for the event, and Alexa Buckman, 10, was one of the many successful anglers who caught at least one.  Barbecue lunch was provided by the Sexton family, owners of Plaza Foods.
