WASTE
DUMP

[April
21] Murietans
turned out early and in numbers for the household hazardous
waste collection event at the FAA Building parking lot Saturday,
creating a solid line of cars on Cantova Way and half-hour
waits to unload things they can't dispose of in their trash
cans. Romic Environmental Technologies Corp. workers were
prepared for the scores of old TVs and computers, batteries,
fluorescent bulbs and cans of paint. "There were no surprises
except the volume," said Romic Northern California Services
Manager Derrick McCarty. The free collection event was sponsored
by the Community Services District.
