Boy Scouts from Troop 633 installed eight trail markers
at Lake Calero Saturday to carry out Blake Hurdle's
Eagle Scout project. The markers, left, are set in concrete
at quarter-mile intervals around the lake and contain
information about deer, birds, rattlesnakes, mountain
lions, coyotes and oak trees. Blake, below left, enlisted
the help of the Rancho Murieta Association and the Optimist
and Kiwanis clubs last year, and completed the project
with the aid of fellow scouts Steven Voss, Kyle East,
Jacob Wolhart and Robert Meyer, and RMA workers Gyan
Singh and Perley Schmidt. |
