SEWER REPAIR

[March 20] A Community Services District project to replace 300 feet of sewer line on Guadalupe Drive near Rio Oso is wrapping up after soil compaction issues caused delays for the contractor and increased costs for the Community Services District. Additional equipment was brought in to shore up the sides of the trenches, 10 to 12 feet deep, with metal plates for worker safety. Although trenching and pavement removal has reduced the street to a single lane, sewer service to the seven homes affected by the repair was not interrupted during the project.
