STARSHIP SIGHTING

[July 16] Starship, featuring Mickey Thomas as lead vocalist, played Lake Clementia Amphitheater Saturday night, entertaining a crowd of about 500 and living up to an introduction as “true music legends” with hits “Jane,” “Sara,” “We Built This City (on Rock and Roll),” Oscar-nominated “Nothing Gonna Stop Us Now” and more. Starship transported the audience back to the Summer of Love and inspired some psychedelic dancing stage-side with an encore performance of Jefferson Airplane’s 1967 anthem, “Somebody to Love,” to end the show. The concert was part of the Entertainment, Theatre and Culture for Rancho Murieta summer concert series. Learn more about ETC here.
