St. Vincent DePaul Bulletin, June 13-14

CHURCH PICNIC …….A huge success with upwards of 200 people attending this year. It turned out to be a perfect day for socializing and getting to know your fellow parishioners.  This year’s event again featured a rock band, waterslide, great food and a special visit from our new Pastor Priest Fr. Rodolofo Llamas.  This year’s picnic was co-chaired by the Larson’s and the Cann’s’.  We are sorry that everyone who contributed cannot be mentioned we do thank you so very much for the delicious dishes that were prepared. A Special Thanks goes to the Coffman’s, Denison’s, Hathaway’s, Bergs, Miraglia, Posey, Bagley, Callahan, Samson, King, Kesich, Sample, Perkins, LeBlanc for their special efforts doing  the cooking, set-up, cleanup,  take down , and other miscellaneous that was instrumental in helping to make the affair run smoothly. SVDP would also like to thank Bob and Jane Siebers and the Coca Cola Company for again contributing all of the soft drinks. A special THANK YOU to Fr. Llamas for coming out to join us.  We would be remiss if we did not thank Dianne and Jerry Larson for chairing this event alone for well of 12 years.

VOCATION CROSS…Thanks to Ed and Annette Denison for doing the Vocation Cross prayers during the month of May.  Let us also pray for Gib and Helen Zimmerman as they do the prayers for the month of May.

DEVOTIONS……..A “pro-life” rosary is recited every Friday at 8am before the service; all are invited to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary every Monday at 6:30pm.  If you have any questions please call Lynn King at lynnhking@frontiernet.net or (916) 687-6442.

HOMEBOUND PROGRAM ---If there are people who maybe IN NEED of receiving Holy Communion at home, as well as a visit from a friendly face, please call Dianne Larson at (916) 354-1423.  Also, if you wish to be the friendly face of your neighbor, call Deacon Merino at the church office.
