ETC show: Music that echoes from Lake Michigan to Lake Clementia

Chicago

The coolest place to be Saturday night was Lake Clementia Amphitheater, where Sacramento's Chicago Tribute Authority paid its respects to the legendary group Chicago and created its own magic for hundreds of happy concertgoers. With only a couple of hours to squeeze in decades of hits, the group braved the day's 100-plus-degree heat and a barrage of insects to get the crowd up and dancing to hits that included “Saturday in the Park,” “If You Leave Me Now” and “Feeling Stronger Every Day” once the sun went down.  Were you at the show? Chicago

Chicago is known for its horn section, and Chicago Tribute Authority came through at the Entertainment, Theatre & Culture concert with Joe Gotch on sax, Andrew Delao on trombone, and Jeremy Bolt on trumpet.

Chicago

In addition to the horn section, the eight-member band blends the talents of  keyboardist John Dengate, guitarists Don Chiles and Gary Lynn, drummer Brian Clark, founder of the group, and lead vocalist Paul Benavidez to produce Chicago's trademark sound.

Crowd

As the sun went down and a gentle breeze wafted across the lake, things heated up on stage, and the crowd made use of the dance floor.

Chicago Tribute Authority

Hit after hit after hit.  These guys were really great and despite all the bugs the singers/players ate during the concert, it was one of the best shows I've been to out here!!!

Concert was indeed

Concert was indeed excellent.  Having grown up in the 70's listening to Chicago, it was nice to see my kids (ages 20 and 22) enjoying the sounds from this incredible band as well. Great music lasts from generation to generation.  When's Journey coming???

On another note.........when do we anticipate completion of the all weather track that will keep our younger spectators occupied???

Chicago Tribute

This was indeed a far better show than I anticipated. I hope the rest of the season turns out to be just as good. Had a great time. Kudos to ETC!

Awesome performance!!  One of the best we have seen!

Aside from a few very rude people in the audience we had a ball. It might be something to think about that others around you can hear your childish remarks about others.
