The Rancho Murieta Bandits (5-3) are fresh off of their first win against a traditional powerhouse in the Mother Lode Miners (4-5), and are preparing for a surge up the standings this weekend!

The Bandits are hoping to take the season series against the upstart Sierra Highlanders (6-3), and position themselves for their first serious run at the Gold Country Vintage Base Ball title. Come on out to Amador High School in Sutter Creek at 11:00 AM this Sunday, August 9th, to root on the Bandits. It promises to be a tight contest in this gentlemanly rivalry.

In other news, although the Bandits qualified to participate in the California Cup last weekend, injuries and real life vacations prevented the squad from making the trip to Burlingame, CA for the annual event. However, congratulations are in order for the defending GCVBB Champion Amador County Crushers (7-2), for bringing the Cal-Cup home to Gold Country!

The GCVBB Season ending gala and All-Star Game will also be held for the first time in Rancho Murieta! Mark your calendar of Sunday September 20.
