Townhouse group opens series of workshops on CC&Rs

Townhouse owners are holding the first of four meetings to gather input about changing the CC&Rs for Murieta Townhouses Inc. from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Rancho Murieta Association Building. The monthly MTI board meeting follows at 5 p.m.

MTI has seen substantial increases in dues and assessments in recent years because of the growing cost of maintaining aging townhouses. Changing the CC&Rs to reduce the homeowners association's maintenance responsibilities is seen as a way to bring down dues and make the townhouses more competitive in the real estate sales and rental markets.

Additional town hall meetings are scheduled for Aug. 15, 22, and 25.
