RMWGC tournaments, odd hole and Captain/Past Captain player

Playing 18 and posting 9 was the RMWGC Tournament on July 31 using the North Course.   Only Odd Holes counted in the contest. 

Flight 1: Nancy Kilborn (37), Betty Lawson (39), Charlene Steving (39),  Masako Matano (39) 
Flight 2: Paulette Satterley (38), Mischel Choi (38), Margaret Niederberger (40), Carmen Heimbecker (41)
Flight 3: Vi Thatcher (39), Sharron Beale (41), Sally Davis (42), Ruth Dragash (43). 

KP winners on hole #6 were: Kimiko Pumilia  @ 15', Paulette Satterley @ 20'10", Marlene Duncan @ 25'8".  The second chance to get a KP was on hole #12.  With an impressive 3'2" Betty Lawson was first.  Next was Jean Paik @ 4'1" followed by Joan Shannon @ 4'8".

At the invitation of Captain Liz Stenstrom, the Captain/Past Captains Annual Tournament brought 11 Past Captains to play golf and enjoy luncheon on August 7.  Those in attendance were: Peggy Clauss (1990), Janet Novak (1992), Shirley Anderson (1993), Bev Brown (1995), Connie Heimbecker (1998),E. Jane White (2000) (2002), Margaret Niederberger, (2001), Nan Parquette (2003), Sally Davis (2004), Doris Hanson (2005) and Billye Ericksen (2006).  Favors of edible fresh fruit suckers were present at each Past Captains place at the luncheon.

The member shooting the best Net Score will have their name printed on the Captain/Past Captain Tournament perpetual plaque.  Joan Shannon's name will appear as the 2007 winner posting a net score of 68.    The overall low gross score was shot by Kimiko Pumilia (83).  Congratulations! Joan and Kimiko.  Flight winners are:

Three holes were used for the KP. On #4 Bev Carr-Barrrow was closest @4'8". Followed by Liz Stenstrom 15'4", E.Jane White 16' and Sally Davis @17'.  On hole #7, again, Bev  Carr-Barrow was closest @5'.  Next was Sunny Robinson 5'8", Claudia Faeth 10'11" and Janet Novak 28'1". Tying for the honors of being closest on #10, was an impressive 3'2" hit by, Ginny Hoskins and Fran Mezzio.  Nancy Kilborn was right there with a 3'8" shot.  Penelope Kahr @12'9" put the pressure on Paulette Satterley @12'10".

The Longest Drive honors went to Cheryl Stepps-Johnson.

The RMWGC is looking forward to hosting the Niners on August 21st.
