Senior Women's Golf Club

Let there be sun and they will come! April 18 was a beautiful day for the Senior "Swingers" tournament day. Our ladies had the biggest turnout of 2008 with over 30 participants. We played a scramble on the north course.

Winners for the day were:

First place-Dixie Pavloff, Marilyn Moore, Susan Dell and Jane Miller.
Second place-Judy Leezer, Elle Skurla, Diane Raggio, and Jan Dutrow.
Third place- Karin Craig, Jan Marsac, Judy Somers, and Velma Leavitt.
Fourth place-Sharon Heardon, Carol Christensen, Sharon Barton and Candy Koroop.

Friday, March 9, the Rancho Murieta Senior "Swingers" played our Pot O' Gold tournament with 24 ladies participating. It truely was a "golden" day, the sun shone down on the course to make it a perfect day for golf.

Winners for the day were:

First place -- Sharon Beale, June Koefelda, Helen Hathaway and Jane Miller.

Second place -- Susan Dell, Sue Girsch, Sharon Heardon and Jo Ann Patwell.

Third place -- Carol Christianson, Judy Leezer, Bonnie Kyser and Theron Naffziger.

Winner of the dice roll was Carole O'Brien followed by Jo Ann Patwell.  Read more »

Although February may not be the most popular month for golf, twenty-two Senior Ladies braved the cool weather and slushy fairways on February 15 to enjoy our monthly tournament. The "Swingers" played a reverse shotgun on the south course in a Texas scramble.

Winners for the event were: 1st place Elle Skurla, Marilyn Moore, Judy Forman and Sharon Heardon. Second place winners were:Judy Somers, Joni Sullwold and Ev Carpenter. And in third place were:Pat Lytle, Carol Christensen and Vi Thatcher. Marilyn Moore was the big dice roll winner with a 30, and Carol Christensen was second.  Read more »

A frost delay did not discourage 15 brave Senior Ladies from playing a Texas Scramble on January 18. Due to the delay and the fact that we were unable to drive on the course,the "Swingers" tournament was a nine-hole event.

First place winners for the event were Bonnie Foley, Helen Hathaway and Sue Girsch. In second place, just one stroke behind, were Di Andrews, Julie Gagnon, Pat Lytle and Bev Miller. Again, just a stroke behind, were third place winners June Koefelda, Judy Somers, Vi Thatcher and Connie Enzensperger. On December 14 once again the Senior Swingers of Rancho Murieta enjoyed our Christmas party at the lovely home of Susan Dell. Many delicious appetizers and wine were served at this festive celebration.
