The Rancho Murieta Niners monthly Charm and Putt Tournament was played on July 12. Connie Enzensperger won the Charm, with a net of 29 – her best game ever! Ev Carpenter was the Putt winner, with 14. Great job, gals.

Winners of the June awards for chip-ins, breaking 50, and most improved golfers were announced.

Chip-ins: Elle Skurla (2), Elaine Fowler, Sally Paravantes, Velma Levitt, Barbara Harris and Joan Conyers.

Breaking 50: Audrey Langstroth (2) and Lynette Flores.

Most Improved Golfers: Nancy Ruff, first; Barbara Golding, second; Elaine Fowler, third; Mary Silvis, fourth; and Jane Martin, fifth.

The Team Play Championship will be played August 16 at Elkhorn Country Club. We’ll be cheering for our RM Niners Team and Captain Annalee Somers to bring home another championship.

Remember to check the bulletin board in the ladies locker room for upcoming events at RM and invitationals elsewhere. The Niners Tournament of Champions is set for August 9, 23, and 30, and the Valley Hi and Lake Wildwood Invitationals are posted. The RM Women’s Golf Club (the 18-holers) will be hosting the Niners on August 21.

The annual Susan G. Komen Tournament will be played August 14 and participation is encouraged in many ways: donations (monetary, gift baskets, or items for baskets), sponsorships, and tournament play. Contact Linda Weatherholt (354-8853) or Gail Lewandowski (354-3332).
