Three gals tied for the Charm award in the Rancho Murieta Niners monthly Charm & Putt Tournament on August 9. Jane Miller, Carol Fraser, and Alice Wall each had a net score of 31 and will compete in the Charm Playoff in October. Carol Fraser also won the Putt award, with 13. 

Winners of the July awards for chip-ins and most improved golfers were: 

Chip-ins: Elaine Fowler, Sally Paravantes, Barbara Saevke, and Karin Craig. 

Most Improved Golfers: First (for the second consecutive month), Nancy Ruff; second, Elaine Fowler; third, Judy Benjamin; fourth, Jan Copeland. 

The RM Team Play Ladies finished tied for second in the Team Play Championship on August 16 at Elkhorn Country Club. Their 109 points tied them with Saratoga, four points behind Sequoia Woods’ winning total of 105. Congratulations to RM Team Captain Annalee Somers and all on the RM team for a great showing. Special thanks to all the participants for their hard work and good sportsmanship. Your Niner friends are very proud of you. 

There are a number of events coming up at RM and elsewhere, so remember to check the bulletin board in the ladies locker room. The Lake Wildwood Open on September 25 is posted, as well as the Cameron Park Invitational on October 25. Don’t miss the signup deadline for these fun outings. 

At Rancho Murieta, a Niners Guest Day is set for October 4 and the annual Susan G. Komen Tournament will be played on October 14. The Komen Tournament is a fun event which benefits a great cause, so plan to participate if you possibly can. 

The RM Niners encourage you to serve on a committee, play in their tournaments, or, ideally, do both.
