When you usually play from the Red tees, it is a sure thing to improve your game if you get to hit from the Gold tees.  The yardage advantage was designated on six holes for RMWGC play on October 23rd.  The team alternated driving on these 6 holes and chose carefully which team member was the DD Powerball hitter.  Due to the scramble format there was no scores posted for the tournament.  Four team places were paid.

Team 1: Cheryl Berg, Dianne Larson, Janet Novak and Lil Ray, scored 60

Team 2: Charlene Steving, Doris Hanson, Gloria Zieour and Masako Matano, scored 62

Team 3: Claudia Faeth, Claudia Foutz, Gloria Lawrence and Marlene Duncan, scored 67

Team 4: Sharon Beale, Gladys Snyder, Diane Raggio and a Blind Draw, scored 68

The tournament was played on the South Course.  Hole #4 KP Winners were: Karen Kehoe (6’1”), Masako Matano (7’4”), Vicky Reynolds (14’10”).  On Hole #10 Marlene Duncan (8’5”), Cheryl Berg (17’7”) and Dianne Larson (27’0”) won closest to the hole honors.

It is good that Holes-In-One are not used up because member, Mischel Choi got her 5th one and many of us are waiting for our 1st.  October 18th  was not a play day for RMWGC ladies, but it is noteworthy that Mischel sunk her drive on #7, South Course.  Congratulations Mischel!
