RMWGC Tournament Fun and Games

 A lovely hula maiden had everyone guessing who she is the other 364 day of the year.  Brenda Mann’s dark flowing hair and swishing hips, wowed the participants in the RMWGC Halloween tournament.  Many of the members were also guessing who Lucy, of Peanuts fame, was.  Paulette Satterley was perfect in the role.  Thanks to all of the members who came in costume and made it such a festive day. 

Ghosts & Goblins was played on October 30th using the North course.  Each hole had its’ own designated rule.  There was much laughter and groans on and off the course and the following winners deserve Congratulations! 

FLIGHT 1 (133): Betty Warner, Connie Hienbecker, E. Jane white and Margaret Niederberger.  FLIGHT 2 (132): Jan Marsac, Masako Matano, Sally Davis and Sunny Robinson.  FLIGHT 3 (127): Linda Weatherholt, Marlene Duncan, Penelope Kahr and Vicky Reynolds.  FLIGHT 4 (138): Gwen vonSeeger, Liz Stenstrom, Marilyn Laver and Nancy Latta. 

It was also General Meeting day and lunch was enjoyed by all.  The buzz in the room was not caused by costumed Janet Watson but CONGRATULATIONS going out to Captain Liz Stenstom for her hole-in-one on #2.

A round of applause greeted Joan Lake as she accepted her well deserved “Break 80” pin.

Guest speaker, CC General Manager, Bob Johnson was welcomed and is sincerely thanked by the members.  Bob clarified some of the CC issues regarding the new ruling on blue denim and winter spills.  It is the desire of the RMWGC membership to reestablish shot gun starts for club play day.  It was recommended that the CC Golf Committee be contacted.

Participants were able to deduct three holes in the November 6th tournament, Strike Three, played on the North course.  The results are the following winners.
