RMWGC Year End

With Captain Liz Stenstrom, ably at the helm, the RMWGC year came to a conclusion at the Holiday Party on December 11th.    Entertainers, Sonny and Cher, in the guise of Cheryl Stepps-Johnson and Sunny Robinson, introduced the slide show with a rendition of I Got You Babe.  There was much musing going on as members  and events were displayed on the screen. 

Very talented, Gwen vonSeeger, was at the piano providing holiday music.  Lunch was superb and it was a great time to socialize with everyone. 

Liz recognized members for their accomplishments during the year and awards were presented.

The Most Improved Golfer award went to first year member, Carmen Heimbecker.

Birdies/Chip-ins/Ec, chaired by Phyllis Lansman, are posted in the locker room

This was the first year Ladder play was instituted.  There were 3 flights and the winners are:

YELLOW FLIGHT

WHITE FLIGHT

First: Marilyn Ramsey

Second: Diane Raggio

The Ladder Challenge has proved very successful and will continue in 2008.

Every year there are selected charities supported by RMWGC members.  Nina Heise headed up the program and generous gifts of: $200 went to Susan G. Koman, Kiwanis Meals on Wheels $700 and Wellspring Women’s Center $700.

Liz Stenstrom, was congratulated on her successful year as Captain and turned the gavel over to incoming Captain, Marilyn Laver.

The RMWGC year of 2007, has come to completion and  we look back to remember Sis Draper and Maureen Bambino.  Two vibrant members of the RMWGC that filled our lives with grace and laughter.  They will be missed.
