Friday's wind knocked over everything from a portable toilet on a De La Cruz Drive construction site to a street sign on Via Del Cerrito, but the main casualties of the wind were trees.
The Country Club started out the day dealing only with debris, but trees were hit as the day went on.
By early afternoon, the damage was apparent to anyone crossing the pedestrian bridge. A large fallen conifer blocked the path along the South Course.
That wasn't the only broken tree to be found on the course.
A tree on the 6400 block of Via Del Cerrito knocked a street light askew when it toppled.
Jim Hubbert's home on the corner of Via Del Cerrito and Camino De Luna got it coming and going. An oak tree from his Camino De Luna neighbor's yard ended up in his side yard while the oak tree in front of his home toppled onto Via Del Cerrito. Hubbert counted himself lucky -- the only damage to his house was a section of gutter.
