Senior Swingers enjoy holiday party

On December 14 once again the Senior Swingers of Rancho Murieta enjoyed our Christmas party at the lovely home of Susan Dell. Many delicious appetizers and wine were served at this festive celebration. 

Our 2008 Board was announced, and we are looking forward to another successful year with the help of the following ladies: Captain- Diane Davey, Membership-Judy Somers, Tournament Chair Susan Dell, Secretary/Treasurer-Jo Hansler, Publicity-Sue Girsch, Golf Committee-Brenda Mann, Historian-Laura Roberti, and Guest Day-Vi Thatcher and Sharon Beale.

The purpose of our club is for "women of all skill levels of golf to gather monthly to play social golf with friends". We will continue to play our fun tournaments on the third Friday of each month. Anyone interested in joining our group needs to be 55 years of age and must have an established handicap. If you do not have a handicap you can get in touch with our membership chair, Judy Somers, at 354-1556, and she will help you obtain one.

Dues are $5 for the year and include our annual summer swim party on August 15, and our Christmas party on December 12. Each month $2.00 is collected for "sweeps". We will also be having our third annual Guest Day on September 5.

Be sure to check the bulletin board located in thr Ladies Locker Room for information about joining our group. The sign-up sheet for each month's play day is also located on the bulletin board. Come join us for an exciting year.

Remember.....many years ago in Scotland a new game was invented.  It was ruled "Gentlemen Only..Ladies Forbidden"(GOLF). We've come a long way ladies!   Happy Golfing.
