Guns and Hoses/Pig Bowl XXXIV

In a very exciting finish, the Firemen held off the law enforcement officers in one of the hardest fought games in many years.  Maybe overconfident from an unbeaten record, the cops faced a team of firemen that came to play football.  Armed with an exceptional passing game the firemen were able to score one touchdown and then got a safety later in the game.  Held scoreless for three quarters the cops finally got on the board with less than six minutes left.  The missed extra point by the cops gave the ball to firemen. The cops defense held and the cops did get one more chance, but an intentional grounding call with less than a minute left ended the cops last opportunity. The game ended with a score of Firedogs 9, Law Enforcement Hogs 6. The good thing about this win for the firemen is that it will insure a re-match next January, 2009 in Guns and Hoses 35.
