CRES parent meetings rescheduled for Feb. 7 and 12
Meetings for parents about the new school proposal have been rescheduled from Jan. 30 and 31 to Feb. 7 and 12, Cosumnes River Elementary School Principal Michael Gulden said Friday.
The January dates were announced at the Elk Grove Unified School District's meeting Thursday night at the Country Club about the school.
Gulden said the meetings were rescheduled because a number of CRES students are participating in the finals of the Oral Language Fair Jan. 31.
The two meetings are identical in scope and will "describe the process we're going to go through over the next year," Gulden said. The goal of the meetings is to create a task force for the new school, he said, adding, "It's the process of gathering input, doing things with the input and then making recommendations."
The meetings will take place in the school's multi-purpose room. Meeting times are not definite and will be announced.
