Swingers play Texas scramble for February tournament

Although February may not be the most popular month for golf, twenty-two Senior Ladies braved the cool weather and slushy fairways on February 15 to enjoy our monthly tournament. The "Swingers" played a reverse shotgun on the south course in a Texas scramble.

Winners for the event were: 1st place Elle Skurla, Marilyn Moore, Judy Forman and Sharon Heardon. Second place winners were:Judy Somers, Joni Sullwold and Ev Carpenter. And in third place were:Pat Lytle, Carol Christensen and Vi Thatcher. Marilyn Moore was the big dice roll winner with a 30, and Carol Christensen was second.

Our golf group currently has 52 members and we encourage any golfers who are 55 years of age or older to join us on the third Friday of each month for an exciting game of golf. With only $5 a year we enjoy good company as well as two notoriously great parties during the year.
