You can count on RanchoMurieta.com to deliver urgent news, but what if you're away from your computer -- or if the power is out? We're offering a new service for RM.com members to address emergency situations. The service sends brief text messages to cell phones that are equipped to receive them.
Registered RM.com members can click the button below to sign up. After recent tests of the system with 50 subscribers, we think it's ready for prime time. (And we'll work with the few folks who had problems receiving the test messages.) If you signed up during the test, you don't need to sign up again.
It would be an emergency system, used only in extreme situations. You would not get many of these messages over the course of a year, but the ones you get will be very valuable.
This is a good time for a reminder that RM.com gets a lot of news tips from people who take the time to share them. Do it by calling 354-3916 or writing to editor@ranchomurieta.com [1]. It might be how the whole community finds out about something.
Click the button below to enroll in the emergency service. As always, the personal information you supply there will be shared with no one -- no one.
And if you're not already a registered member of RM.com, take one minute and join 800 Murietans [1] by becoming a member. You must be a member to receive the message service.
