The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers released a public annnouncement Monday confirming that a meeting on Murieta development will be held 7 p.m. April 22 at the Country Club.

"The intent of the public meeting is to provide a forum to gather written and verbal comments on development projects in the Rancho Murieta area that are currently under review for a Department of the Army permit, as well as reasonably foreseeable development projects in the community," the announcement says.  It says the corps is currently considering applications from the Residences of Murieta Hills, proposed by Woodside Homes and Warmington Homes; the Riverview project, proposed by Corinthian Homes, and the Lakeview project proposed by Reynen and Bardis Communities Inc.

Riverview and Lakeview are projects proposed for the South that were originally approved in the early 1990s. The Residences of Murieta Hills are North projects the Sacramento Board of Supervisors approved late last year. The Retreat projects proposed by Cassano Kamilos Homes were approved for the North at the same time, but are not included in the meeting notice.

A corps spokesperson has said the April meeting follows a February meeting with the Rancho Murieta Development Concerned Citizens Committee and environmental groups.  See the meeting announcement here [1].
