Hundreds of kids had a great time at the annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday afternoon at Stonehouse Park.
Under blue skies, kids scrambled to collect candy-filled eggs while parents and grandparents helped or captured it all with their cameras (or both). Activities included a visit with the Easter Bunny, a train ride, bounce house and courage-testing slide. Dozens of decorated Easter baskets and a zoo of stuffed animals were raffled off to raise funds for next year's event.
Jamie Pealer, 4, had other ideas about how to use her Easter basket at Saturday's Easter Egg Hunt.
The Murieta Activities group organized the event with the help of other community groups. The Kiwanis Club took charge of the bake sale, the Community Church provided cookies for the children to decorate, and young volunteers turned out to paint little faces with bunnies, flowers and other seasonal motifs.
