TROUBLE – TEAM GAME 

Golfers know that there is a bit of trouble on any given hole from tee to green.  There may be a water hazard; usually a bunker or an errant shot went out of bounds.  Add a four putt, hitting from one bunker to another or missing your bunker shot altogether and it all adds up to a lot of trouble completing the round of golf.  The RMWGC tournament played, March 18, on the North Course recorded all of these trouble shots with points.  The points were then added for a team score.  The only respite was, depending on the handicap, a player could deduct a point or two.  Frustration reigned and the declared winners are as follows:

FLIGHT A

FLIGHT C

1st: Gene Snyder, Charlene Bonetti, Gloria Zieour (6)

2nd: Shirley Anderson, Gladys Snyder, Mardi Bryant, ClaudiaFaeth (8)

3rd: Jean Schwinn, Linda Weatherholt, Gail Lewandowski, Marlene Duncan (19)

IF you stayed out of the sand trap, IF you stayed in bounds, IF you didn’t land your tee shot in water, you had a chance to get closest to the pin.  On Hole #2, unruffled Pam Werner was 11’2” from the cup.  Miok Kim (15’6 ½”) and Lil Ray (17’5”) remained equally unruffled.  Hole # 12 had a tough pin placement but accuracy prevailed and Karen Kehoe (24’10 ½”), Doris Hanson (29’11”), Angie Friedrich (30’4”) took the KP honors.  On a special note Angie had the best game of her 2008 golfing life.  CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS OF THE DAY!

Aerification is taking place for the next couple of Tuesdays and there will be no play on April 1st (no joke).  The next tournament will be a Guest Day on April 8th.  Be sure to get your registration form in by the deadline of April 4th.   

The Handicap Tournament dates are: April 17, date of choice before 21st,  22, 23, 24.  It is Match Play and in need of all the members to play.  Look for the rules in the locker room and be sure to sign up for this annual event.  The General Meeting will be held on Thursday 4/24 after the days tournament play.
