Road work scheduled for Lake Chesbro

Operating Engineers training center trainees and grading instructors will begin grading dirt roads at Lake Chesbro and the Community Services District water treatment plant early next week, the CSD announced Tuesday.

The work will level the roads and fill in ruts. Residents can expect to see a variety of heavy equipment at the lake, including water trucks used to keep the dust down, a scraper to smooth the roads, and compaction equipment. There is no paving work involved since the roads will remain dirt.

The training center recently completed a similar project at the district’s wastewater treatment plant, said Paul Siebensohn, CSD director of field operations. “The thing’s like brand new right now, very nice,” he said. “We hope to have the same thing around Chesbro, Clementia, and then Calero. … It’s greatly appreciated.”

After Chesbro, the Operating Engineers are expected to tackle roads around Lake Clementia, and finally Lake Calero, he said.

There is no timeline for the completing the work, since it depends on the training center’s schedule.

Jim Moore Bravo to the

Bravo to the Operating Engineers and the training center.  They have provided a lot of valuable services to us over the years.  I hope we have done something to thank them.  Maybe we should have a picnic for them to show our appreciation for all the good work they have done for us.

Yes, thank you, OE!

Sometimes we grumble about PTF, but we should always remember that the OE school really has nothing to do with the union's pension trust's lawyers who give us so much grief at times. The school itself has been a wonderful neighbor over the years, helping us out like this in so many ways, and it affords their trainees great real-job opportunities to work on their chops. Win-win all around.

I second the motion that we find some way to show our appreciation!

Thanking the trainees

That's a great idea. We're looking into the details and will report back soon.

Thank You Operating Engineers

Kudos to the Operating Engineers for the great work and close relationship they have had with all of Rancho Murieta over the years. They are a vital contributor to the unique quality of life we all enjoy here. In turn the entire Murieta PUD provides them an outstanding training ground to hone their student's skills to be later used in the five-states area they represent.  Also kudos to our own RMA Maintenance Director, Rod Hart, and his crew for fostering that great win-win relationship with the OEs. And thank you Wilbur for the distinction you provide between the OEs and the PTF. Their PTF is contained in a completely separate large banking firm, McMorgan & Co.,  who is the trustee for investment of OEs' and many other groups' retirement funds in varied portfolios, to include the real estate division. Yeah, let's find a way to visibly express our appreciation.
