The community is invited to celebrate spring at the annual Maypole event on the lawn area across from the North Gate Thursday, May 1, at 6 p.m. Eight participants, chosen on a first-come, first-served basis, will weave ribbons around the Maypole to create a garland. Afterwards, participants' names will be put into a hat, and the winner of the drawing will receive the ribbon garland. The event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club in cooperation with the Rancho Murieta Association Maintenance Department.
