OKC Corral rounds 'em up at Equestrian Center
OKC Corral brought hundreds to a Western-flavored, fun-filled evening at the Murieta Equestrian Center Saturday night. After a gourmet prime rib dinner, the crowd enjoyed blackjack and poker games, live music and dancing, and raffles and auctions featuring everything from luxury vacations to crafts made by school children. The annual event is the community's largest fundraiser for youth. It's organized by the Cosumnes River Elementary School PTA, the Optimist Club and the Kiwanis Club.
The proceeds benefit school programs and local activities, but it's the adults who come out to play on this night. Sam Sandusky was one of the many who tried their skill at the wine toss, and he walked away with a couple bottles of wine for his efforts.
Audrey Newsom tamed the mechanical bull.
Doug Dykes of Sierra Sixguns and Sidekicks made sure everyone stayed in jail until they were bailed out.
