Day Seven

Time does fly when you're having fun. As I mentioned yesterday, my bride (of 55 yrs.) and I go back to school every Friday.  The regular students at Sac State affectionately refer to the Friday invasion of Renaissance Society’s seasoned citizens as “Q-Tips.”  (LOL) The guest speaker at yesterday afternoon’s Forum was the new managing editor of the Sacramento Bee, Melanie Sill.  As the new kid on the block she is trying to streamline the paper and help with its transition to more Web content.  I had to laugh when during the question and answer period, the Bee was accused of being too liberal and also too conservative…go figure.  To save newsprint, the Bee is going to get one inch narrower and the type font will soon change, so brace for those changes. I take a day off and Ralph muscles into top billing in the BLOG entries with, of all things, a pizza BLOG with pictures no less.  My bride is the pizza fanatic in our household and appreciates Ralph’s critique.   The GOLDEN PROXY effort continued with John and Ted manning the table.  Friday was Ted’s last day however; he is off the Japan to see his son for a couple of weeks.  I will be at the Plaza Saturday so drop by and sign a proxy.  More Tomorrow
