Go through your cupboards!

This Saturday, May 9, the USPS will again be collecting non-preishable items for distribution to various food closets serving needy families. A flyer was placed in every RM mailbox yesterday. I tend to be one who sets those notices/requests aside and plan to "do something about it" later. Last night, though, I went through the cupboards and filled a shopping sack. Had to unload and reload, though, after reading the directions: NO glass bottles, so the Ragu spaghetti sauce stays here.

It's more than a tough time, economically, for many folks, and maybe this time, if each household placed a sack with 5-6 items out Saturday morning before mail delivery, at least we'd provide a lot of "fixins" for many, many meals.
