We are looking for a few good "Street Walkers."

John Weatherford is going to continue walking the south and will be hitting the streets today (Saturday).  Our committee is looking for volunteers to walk with John.  We realize that knocking on doors is a very difficult thing for most people to do, so John will be the group leader and go with each volunteer on his or her first calls.  John uses his golf cart, which speeds up the process.  We want to make eye contact with each signer and answer any questions.  John has found that most people are cordial and in most cases enthusiastic about signing.   We, of course, have to make sure that the signers are members in good standing, which is the first question when the door opens.

If you are interested in joining our effort, please call John (916-607- 6503 cell) and he will give you a crash course in "Street Walking."   We have passed the halfway point and are on the downhill run.  Needless to say these recent legal opinions will not affect our effort, and for some members the costly mailing will increase their resolve.
