The Country Club is throwing a send-off party for Don Thames as he leaves for the U.S. Senior Open July 28-Aug. 3 in Colorado. The party, open to club members, begins 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Terrace Lounge. The club is hosting complimentary draft beer and hors d'oeuvres as well as raffle prizes. Families headed to Lake Clementia Amphitheater Thursday evening to enjoy a barbecue followed by a talent show put on by the children in the Rancho Murieta Association Summer Recreation program. The event wrapped up the five-week program. This year about 120 children from preschool through 6th grade took part, RMA Assistant General Manager Danise Hetland said. The Rio Oso Tank is back online, the Community Services District announced this week. That's good news for the 700 households in Units 3 and 4, the area above the second Guadalupe Drive on the North. The 1.2-million-gallon tank supplies water for the pressurized system that serves the area.  Read more »
