Rancho Murieta is a great place to be. And I can see that most people agree that the quality of life as a resident here would be greatly improved if our families can get together and share in the good wholesome, healthy, fun interaction of engaging in various activities at a local Rec Center with a large swimming pool.
The nay-sayers usually stick to the subject of the costs. Liabilities may be an issue, too.
However, what if a Rec Center could be built across the street from the plaza on Murieta Drive? Perhaps if the facilities were available for outside patrons like those of Plymouth, Wilton, Ione, and even Elk Grove. To have more paying families can contribute to help fund the project. Now's not the time to be selfish. The more families come to be members, the lower the cost could be for us all. Maybe we could even get Plymouth, Wilton, and Ione to help finance the construction of the facility. More people involved, is more money to feed into the project. But the great end result would be that, it would be right here in Rancho Murieta for us all to enjoy. Does that sound do-able? Would that help to make a Rec Center here more possible?
