The filing period for candidates for two director positions on the Community Services District board begins today and runs through Aug. 8.

Registered voters who live within Rancho Murieta are eligible to become a candidate by completing forms available at the Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections Office, 7000 65th St., Suite A.

The seats on the five-member board are currently held by Directors Jerry Pasek and Wayne Kuntz. Directors are elected for a four-year term.

The election takes place in November as part of the general election.
