ETC wraps up season with 'Celebrate With Peter Rivera'
The grand finale of the Entertainment, Theatre and Culture concert season takes place Sept. 6, when “Celebrate With Peter Rivera” comes to Lake Clementia Amphitheater for a dance concert. Peter Rivera made his mark in the rock world as the lead vocalist and drummer for Rare Earth. The band sold over 25 million records in the ‘60s and ‘70s and made top 10 hits “Get Ready,” I’m Losing You,” “Born to Wander,” “Hey Big Brother” and the enduring anthem “I Just Want to Celebrate.”
In addition to Peter Rivera, the evening features a trio of female singers performing Motown.
“Celebrate” showcases Rivera’s star-power vocals and adds another dimension to the feel-good musical mix with a trio of female vocalists performing a Motown medley of Supremes songs and hits by artists like Ray Charles.
