I think we all know that Wednesday is trash pickup day on the North. What's the story for Wednesday 9/3/08? Any pickup or are we out of luck for the week?

That's the chief question about this schedule that we weren't able to get answered before the holiday weekend. We will ask the RMA first thing Tuesday morning and post the answer.
Another member, writing privately, asks about the lengthy stretches of work some days and how older residents might have trouble walking a long distance from a car parked outside the work zone.

Hi Karen, I called and left Rod a message about this question last week and he never returned my call. So I called the paving company left a message and told them that Wednesday was trash day for the North and what were we supposed to do about trash pickup? Then I noticed the signs had been changed on the barriers in the street to say Thu instead of Wed. They returned my call and told me to put out our trash as normal, business as usual. Now I see the schedule posted here and the work is scheduled back to Wednesday. So I’m not sure what the story is. The solution to this whole problem would be to schedule this work during a week that isn’t a holiday on Monday. Move all of Wednesday’s activity to Monday and leave the rest of the schedule as is. That way no work is done on trash day. But, nobody asked me!! Steve

Let's not forget that the North also has trash pick-up on Tuesday. I plan to put my trash out as usual on Monday night.

The RMA said late today that residents should just put out their trash as usual. If there's a problem and the trash doesn't get picked up on the proper day, it will be picked up the next day, General Manager David Stiffler said.
