Women's Club fashion show coming Sept. 24
It's September! The kids are back in school, there is a hint of fall in the air. On the newsstands the fashion magazines are all trying to "out weigh" each other with the latest and newest fashions. That's just the prompting we need to open the closet door, peer inside and wonder "will I be out of style this year?" What few things do I buy to update the wardrobe. And, will I finally get to wear that (fill in) blouse, shirt, jacket, sweater, skirt, I loved and saved from the (fill in) 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's? Well, help is on the way!
On Wednesday, September 24th, Rancho Murieta Women's Club will present its annual fashion show: "Fashion Ports of Call". We're going to take you on a cruise to your favorite port, real or imagined and present the clothes that you'll wear there. See your friends and neighbors as they walk the "deck" to the music of Jim Martinez. And, we will also have some suggestions getting you ready for the fall season.
With the help of traveler and narrator Mary Brennan you can visit many ports, as she has and also get a glimpse of what fall has to offer.
Bonnie's Sutter Creek Boutique, Talbots and other clothing vendors will show you how to find the "must haves" for fall. So, come on aboard for a most pleasurable cruise!
And, to help you get it all together, be sure to arrive by 10:15 for a packing demonstration by frequent traveler Judith Embree.
The event is open to Rancho Murieta Women's Club Members and their guests. Cost is Cost of the lunch is $20.00 for members and $25 for guests. Choices are Chicken Cordon Bleu or Shrimp Louie. Vegetarian plate is always available on request. Call Nancy Ruff 354-1750 for tickets or for more information.
In November RMWC will present "The Village Voices" for a pre-holiday review. A vocal program of favorites you won't want to miss!
