Over the years, PTA has expanded its role beyond organizing activities to funding a myriad of needs. PTA fully funds the school choir, three educational assemblies and several scholarships. We also fulfill our teachers' wish lists, supplying globes, books and periodicals, computers and CD players, science/PE equipment and furnishings.

This volunteer organization offers community arts, cultural events and activities for youth, families and adults.

All moms in Rancho Murieta are invited to join. From the group: Our goal is to support you, your family and our community through friendships with RM moms, Moms' Night Out, Meals for Moms, babysitting co-ops, various playgroups, fun field trips, local events including annual Christmas party and annual picnic, community projects, political voice in the community, fundraising for charity and group events. Rotary International has a new presence in Rancho Murieta. The local club joins a family of dedicated community-oriented volunteers throughout the nation and the world, with 1.2 million members in over 200 countries. Rotary is open to adults of all ages, incomes and interests. All that’s required is a curiosity and the desire to serve.

Our meetings are every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Villas Clubhouse. We'd love to have you as our guest. Please feel free to show up to this exciting new club, still in its early stages. You’ll be most welcome!

Membership is currently more than 300 community women, and newcomers are always welcome. Activities include a bi-monthly luncheon meeting with a speaker; book clubs, bridge groups, a gourmet club, art, crafts, outings, and flower arranging. Dues are $25 a year. St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church

Stonecroft Ministries Bible Studies
This is a non-denominational bible studies group that has been active in Rancho Murieta for 10 years. The study curriculum is based on The Good News Bible. The group meets at 7 p.m. Tuesdays. Contact: Neta June Roby at 354-2739.

 

Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers mets Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Rancho Murieta Association Building. For information, contact Abby Goldman at 354-3837.

 

4-H
Sloughhouse/Alta Mesa 4-H meets the second Thursday of the month from September to June at 6:45 p.m.. at the Cosumnes River Elementary School. Membership is open to youth from the age of 7 through high school. Outdoor and indoor projects include working with goats, horses, rabbits, swine and other animals, and learning art, crafts, cooking and other skills. 4-H members participate in the County and State Fairs and a 4-H camp is held in July.
